How much does it cost to have your child in child care?

At the Parent Child Center we accept subsidy as well as private pay tuition.  We charge $600.00 per month regardless of the length of the month for a full time slot.  Anything over 26 hours is considered full time.  Part time is $4 per hour.  Parents pay for their scheduled times regardless of whether the child attends.  This means that if your child is sick or on vacation you are still responsible for paying for the hours that are dedicated to your child.

If I have more than one child do I still have to pay full price for both children?

We give families a discount for having more than one child in our center.  Families receive a %20 discount for the second child and for every child after that.

What age groups do you serve?

We have three early childhood education sites.  Our Pleasant St site serves children from 6weeks to age 3.  From that point children go to our Pre-School program located on West St in Rutland.  Our Brandon Center serves 6weeks through to age 12.  Brandon has an after school program for the older group. 

Our number of Outreach services serve a wide variety of ages. 

Does the Parent Child Center have parenting classes?

Is the Parent Child Center the same as VAC?

The parent child center is proud to have a great collaboration with many of the other organizations in Rutland County but we are not the same thing.  We work closely with agencies like VNA, VAC, Rutland Mental Health and all the surrounding schools.
